Your County Commissioners

East Cobb comprises Districts 2 and 3 of the Cobb County Commission. The commissioner for each district is elected by its citizens. The district commissioner appoints the planning commissioner and the member of the Board of Zoning and Variance Appeals for the district.

Chairman of the Cobb County Board of Commissioners is Tim Lee (elected county-wide).

District 2 (Southeast Cobb)

District 3 (Northeast Cobb)

Board of Commissioners: JoAnn Birrell

2013 Meeting Schedules:

Cobb County Board of Commissioners, Regular Session:

Second Tuesday of the month at 9 a.m. and the fourth Tuesday at 7 p.m.

December only, meets the first Tuesday, (Dec. 3) at 9 a.m., and on the third Thursday, (Dec. 19), at 6 p.m. (instead of the usual 7 p.m.).

Board of Commissioners zoning meetings:

Third Tuesday at 9 a.m. There are no zoning hearings in January.

Cobb County Planning Commission:

Zoning hearings are held on the first Tuesday (9 a.m.) of the month, except for September, when it will be held on Thursday, Sept. 5. There are no zoning hearings in January.

Board of Zoning Appeals:

Variance hearings: Second Wednesday of the month at 1:00 p.m.
