Combination vs. keyed locks

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I just received an email from one of our PENS members that showed a video on how to open a combination lock without using force (and if you don't know the combination I might add).  I am not going to forward the video to you for the same reason I did not share the video on Lock Bumping several months ago.  Why, because I have learned that it works and I don't want to teach you how to pick someone else's combination lock.  Besides, I'm sure it's going to make the rounds anyway.
But, I tried the technique and I was to open a combination lock using it.  It took me probably less than 5 seconds.  So this could explain how lockers are being entered at our fitness centers when the victim returns to find his locker still locked but items missing from the locker.   I tried this technique on combination locks and on keyed locks.  I was only able to open the combination locks.  So, from here forward, I will be using only keyed locks on anything I want to keep secured.  That decision is yours.  Food for thought.
